Fly Casting Instruction
Jacquish Hollow Angler is proud to offer fly casting instruction. Our certified casting instructors will provide invaluable hands-on experience for both the beginner and/or the advanced angler. Our goal is to teach the skills necessary to succeed, on any water you may travel to in the future. Our goal is to provide a first class experience just for you.

Our classes below are available on Saturday’s or Sunday’s throughout the fishing season. Call or email for more info. Weekday classes may be arranged based on availability.
Instructional Guiding
Cost $325 / one angler, $425 / two angler
This trip is for Angler’s that are new to fly-fishing or those that want to advance some of their skills
This guided day will be geared towards learning. Our normal guide days are concentrated on catching fish while learning. An instructional day will concentrate on learning while catching fish in a real world environment. We will concentrate on improving your casting, teaching new casts for fishing situations, reading water, entomology, and gear setup for the situation (i.e. leaders, knots, fly selection, etc.). The goal is to improve your skill set while catching some fish.
Basic Fly Casting Class

Have you ever wanted to learn how to fly fish? Fly fishing begins with learning how to fly cast. The JHA basic fly casting class gives you the basics of how to cast. The class includes fly rod setup, roll cast, and overhead cast. This class will give each student enough knowledge to go fishing.
Advanced Fly Casting Class
Cost $125.00
Are you always frustrated with that extra distance you need to reach those rising fish? Well here is your answer! JHA is offering a one day class that is designed for intermediate to advanced casters who want to improve on distance, accuracy, mending, and specialty casts. Several casting exercises will be taught that will quickly enhance the casters ability towards perfecting their casting style. The JHA instructors will analyze each students cast from which they can begin to perfect their casting style. This course will be taught by our Federation of Fly Fishers(FFF) -Certified Casting Instructors. A few of the topics we will cover in this class include: perfecting your loops, mechanics of the fly cast, carrying more line, effectively shooting more line, double hauling, more distance in the wind, curve casts, and making a saltwater quick cast.
Master Casting Instructor Workshop
The MCI Workshop is presented by an experienced Federation of Fly Fishers Master Certified Instructor and an FFI Casting Board of Governor. You will leave this workshop fully armed with the information needed to prepare for the FFFI Master Certified Instructor's Exams. Achieving Master Caster Instructor Certification is one of the most difficult accomplishments in Fly Fishing. Preparation and study are the keys to successful testing. In this class, you will receive valuable tips and recommendations for study and practice to successfully prepare for the Master Instructor Exams. This is one step in the journey.
Prerequisite: Must be a current FFF Certified Casting Instructor
Certified Casting Instructor Workshop
We designed the FFI Certified Casting Workshop to leave you with the skills needed to be a good instructor. This workshop includes classroom discussion of how to effectively teach and understand casting theory, diagnosis, and practical application. The remainder of the workshop will be working on the casts required to pass the FFI Certified Casting Exam. The casting portion of the test is straight forward. The key is frequent practice. You will leave with the knowledge of what to practice and how to successfully prepare for the CCI exam.
