Jacquish Hollow Anglers Inn

The quiet peaceful valley restores your spirit as you sit on the deck or relax on a garden bench, listening to the sounds of birds, the little stream as it rushes over rocks in its way or a colorful sunset at the end of the day, and makes you appreciate the beauty of nature.

Come join us in our home for a visit. The log home, made of eastern white pine from a Tennessee Log Home design, precut in the factory, was built by JG Development, Inc. of Blue Mound, Wisconsin in the summer of '99. Not as rustic as the early log homes were, it is a cozy and comfortable home with a unique style, situated on a beautiful hillside overlooking Jacquish Hollow.

Our guest accommodations include two comfortable bedrooms with a view of the valley, each with two twin beds or one king sized (if requested) and a private bath. The shared sitting room has a woodstove for those chilly evenings, TV/VCR, and access to the guest refrigerator stocked with water, soft drinks and ice.

We serve a full breakfast with coffee, tea, and juice along with a hot main course like omelets, frittatas or pancakes with bacon or sausage, muffins and toast made with our authentic Alaskan sourdough. We can also meet your special dietary requests, when requested in advance.

Our guests have access to our living room and dining areas as well as a large deck and a covered porch. You will find many places in which to relax and observe nature, smell the flowers, and watch the antics of the many hummingbirds that spend their summers in our gardens.

Things to do in the area are numerous and varied. Within 30 to 45 minutes, you have the excitement of the Wisconsin Dells or a long leisurely float on the Wisconsin River. For a little culture, try the American Players Theater in Spring Green or a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. Enjoy the many bike trails, as well as the interesting geology of the Driftless area and the ancient rock bluffs of Devils Lake. Richland Center has the Star Spangled Celebration each summer with well known country music entertainers in June.

Take your chances at a gambling casino, or a leisurely stroll through one of our quaint towns with local arts and crafts stores, or browse through antique shops. Make your trip as busy, or quiet as you like, it's your time, so enjoy it!

One of the reasons that we live here is the miles and miles of spring fed creeks of the Coulee region and the many trout that live in them. It's an absolute paradise for the fly fisher. Fall brings colors to the trees, and a chance to do some apple picking at one of the local orchards. Wildlife is abundant in this area and fall also brings out the turkey and deer, followed by the people that hunt them in the many public hunting areas. Once the snows arrive in winter, its time for cross country skiing, riding the snowmobile trails that cross the state, or ice fishing.
